Bill Bryson on the Thames Gateway ‘free for all’

Here’s a BBC clip with Bill Bryson, author and current president of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE), talking about the countryside and the excuse that is the Thames Gateway for developers to paint the countryside grey – a recent Sumptuous World topic. I was interested to hear him use the word ‘perfect’ a couple of times, when describing the countryside; I like his enthusiasm, and share his love for the land.
