I ran the London Marathon today…

… actually the last mile of it, which was enough. I was cheering my intrepid cousin along, whom we met at the twenty-fifth mile mark. I still think completing a marathon is impossible, but she did it! And she did it for Save the Children. It was great too to have been in the crowd and cheer on the runners, whomever they were ‒ Steady Eddy, Dave, Ian, Sue, Elsie… and of course the herd of runners dressed in incredibly well-defended rhino costumes, also running for charity. It was hot! But there they all were. Being in the crowd was a mass exercise in generating human fellow feeling and good for the endorphin levels.
