These protesters at Titnore Woods in West Sussex, UK, get my vote in what no doubt is another case of economic dogma anaesthetising the minds of decision makers into overriding the will of local people. It’s in the vein of Warren Woods in Bedfordshire, Radley Lakes in Oxfordshire, or potentially Hatfield Forest, another ancient woodland, that’s threatened by Stansted’s airport expansion in Hertfordshire.
